Perhaps it is Quixotic to continue writing letters like these to people who will, quite probably, disregard them. All the more reason to present them here, so that they might be considered more carefully. In any case, writing them is sometimes cathartic. And who knows? Who knows which straw will tip the weight of denial and bring things back down to earth?
