About

A hybrid of telecommunication software and concept art, Artcontext is focused on the aesthetics and politics of collaborative media. Within Artcontext people can behave creatively, cooperatively or destructively; communicating and, at the same time, substantially modifying and revising what will be the experience of the site for future visitors. Andy Deck is an American media artist specializing in Internet art. His work addresses the politics and aesthetics of collaboration, interactivity, software, and independent media. He began working with the Internet as an artistic medium in 1994 and founded Artcontext in 1999.
